OnePlus has officially launched its flagship phone, the OnePlus 12 at a special event in China, marking the company's tenth anniversary boasts impressive features such as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a 50MP rear camera, a 6.82-inch AMOLED curved screen, and a powerful 5260mAh battery with SuperVOOC fast charging. The successor to the OnePlus 11 is set to arrive in global markets like India in 2024.

OnePlus 12:  Specifications, Features

OnePlus 12 features 3rd Generation Snapdragon® 8 Mobile Platform, which has eight cores with a maximum frequency of 3.3GHz. The GPU is Adreno™ 750 @903MHz, and it supports Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), 802.11a/b/g/n/, Wi-Fi 2.4G/WLAN 5G, WLAN Display, WLAN network sharing, and support for network overlay.

The transfer protocol is USB 3.2, and the phone supports various Bluetooth audio specifications, including SBC, AAC, aptX HD, LDAC, aptX, and LHDC. The data interface is Type-C, and the headphone jack supports standard Type-C headphones.

The phone also supports NFC, multifunction NFC, HCE, eSE, and other functions. It has a RAM specification of LPDDR5x and ROM specifications of UFS4.0. The camera features a Sony Lightyu LYT-808 flagship sensor with 50 million pixels, OIS optical image stabilization, 64 million super light and shadow periscope telephoto, and 48 million super light and shadow super wide angle.

The front camera has a front 32MP camera with an FOV 90°, 5P lens, and FF. It supports various shooting modes, including professional, photo, video, portrait, night scene, high pixel, panorama, movie, slow motion, time-lapse photography, long exposure, multi-view video, cute photos, AI ID photos, super text, tilt-shift, and XPAN.

The phone has a battery capacity of 5260mAh/20.57Wh and a charging interface of Type-C interface. The screen size is 6.82 inches, with a QHD+ resolution and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.5%. The phone has a color gamut of 1.07 billion colors (10bit) and a screen refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

OnePlus 12 also supports biometrics such as fingerprint category, face recognition, and various sensors, including geomagnetic induction, under-screen proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyro, step recording function, infrared remote control, under-screen color temperature sensor, rear spectral sensor, and hall sensor. GPS is also supported, with satellite positioning options including Beidou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS.

OnePlus 12: Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus 12 has been launched in China at a starting price of CNY 4,299 (around Rs 50,700), with the Indian market expected to cost more than Rs 60,000. The OnePlus 12 comes in black, emerald green, and white colors and starts at CNY 4,299 ($607) for the 12/256GB model and tops out at CNY 5,799 ($818) for the version with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. The global launch of the OnePlus 12 is expected to take place in January 2024, with the price range from ₹50,000 in India to ₹69,999. The OnePlus 12 is expected to be released alongside other products in the global market in early 2024.
