The German company, Billy Boy, launched a mobile application called CAMDOM, popularly referred to as the "digital condom." The app intends to protect users from being filmed during sex, so that their consent may be breached. CAMDOM is not a contraceptive that one can take out of the box; it is, instead, a privacy and security tool to keep things intimate and private. Currently, CAMDOM is available for Android users in more than 30 countries. An iOS version is expected to be released soon.

The company states that they were motivated by the rising cases of cyber fraud and blackmail in the digital world. They specifically reference the alarming situation amongst teens around the world of revenge porn, which can spread quickly and be difficult to track, often causing emotional distress and other harmful consequences.
